Twin Peaks Chamber Orchestra

Philip Kuttner,

Music Director

Welcome to the Bay Area’s newest chamber orchestra! Our players are young, they’re passionate, and they’re excited to bring you an adventurous mix of your favorite works and some off the beaten track repertoire. All that, plus a world premiere!

We perform in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, San Francisco, whose gorgeous sanctuary boasts the city’s best acoustics.

THE UNIVERSAL APPEAL OF MOZART

Saturday May 4 at 8 pm

Our first program includes The Marriage of Figaro’s effervescent overture, the stormy Symphony No. 25 in G minor, and Mozart’s grandest piano concerto, No. 25 in C major. You’ll also hear two arias from Idomeneo and La clemenza di Tito.

MUSIC FROM EASTERN EUROPE

Saturday May 18 at 8 pm

Revel in Lutosławski’s folk-inspired Little Suite for Chamber Orchestra, Dvořák’s lilting Serenade for Winds,  the world premiere of a work by a young Bay Area composer, and Tchaikovsky’s lush Serenade for Strings.
